Founded in 1996 by a team with international experience in electronic publishing, information standards and distance learning, CAPDM’s mission is to deploy cutting edge Web and XML technologies to produce, manage and deliver programmes of online and distance education better than ever before.

CAPDM’s innovative approach to materials production is to create permanent information architectures for education providers and to format all their learning materials using XML – the international open standard markup format that is vendor independent and semantic.

Once the new information architecture is in place, XML batch publishing tools can be deployed to provide a single solution for producing all output formats.

Unusually, CAPDM returns all single master sources to the education provider and offers an affordable ongoing management option for them, which includes formal revision control and unlimited updates during the year for a fixed annual maintenance fee.
